Our 2022 Honey Bud is a multi-award-winning Jin Jun Mei; the pluck is 100% early spring buds, and it is carefully hand-crafted to perfection. Coming from tea bushes deep in the misty, protected inner mountains of the Wuyi region, you can taste the sweetness of the forest and the mountain air in a cup of this black tea. It is picked at around 5250 ft elevation, right near the tallest peak in the region, Huang Gang Mountain. The foggy, mountainous, and biodiverse growing conditions are ideal for this tea. The rocky nature of the soil translates to a unique minerality. The exquisite golden, downy buds brew into a full-bodied cup resplendent with aromas of wild honey and fresh cedar, and a sweetness that is rich, refreshing, and lasting.
