Our 2025 Honey Bud features a multi-award-winning Jin Jun Mei black tea grown near Huanggang Mountain in Fujian, China. A Jin Jun Mei is composed of only singular, hand-plucked first-harvest spring tea buds. Ours comes from bushes above 1000 meters amidst fog and mist in the secretive mountains of the inner Wuyi region. The buds in this tea are the first to be harvested each year, and are covered in a fine, white fuzz which turns golden due to oxidation while being expertly crafted into a finished tea. You can truly taste early spring, and the clear sweetness of the forest and cool mountain air in every cup of this black tea. The mountainous and biodiverse growing conditions, combined with the rocky nature of the soil, give this special tea a unique minerality and profound clarity in the cup. These exquisite golden buds brew into a full-bodied cup resplendent with aromas of wild honey and fresh cedar, and a sweetness that is rich, refreshing, and lasting. Enjoy.
