Organic Gold Rush Black Tea

Herald’s 2025 Organic Gold Rush Black Tea, is truly a treat for any black tea lover. It is comprised of a combination of young tea leaves and buds; and is famous in Fujian where it also known as ‘Golden Monkey’. Ours is made from the Jin Guan Yin cultivar. The processing of this tea is as follows: Plucking – Withering – Rolling – Oxidation – Roasting – Cooling – Re-Roasting. The curly shape of the dried leaves, and the fine downy golden hairs are the reason for this tea’s name. We love the warming hints of baking spice, and notes of fragrant honey this tea evokes, and the brewed liquor is nothing short of dazzling. We find it reminiscent of long walks in the woods, or a fireside steaming cocoa. We truly hope you enjoy this offering as much as we do.
